In April 1998, I founded the company as an international trading company, specializing in marketing, selling, and shipping products from the United States to Japan. As we conducted business, my team and I encountered the frustration of spending significant time preparing our export documents. Upon researching the market, we discovered a lack of affordable software solutions available to small and mid-sized businesses. Determined to streamline the export documentation process, we decided to develop our own software program.

Our efforts yielded positive results, and our freight forwarder was impressed with the forms we provided alongside our shipments. They began recommending our software to their other clients. Encouraged by the positive feedback from local exporters who received complimentary copies of our software, we decided to broaden our horizons and market our solution more extensively. This marked the inception of EXIM Summit.

At the time, most software companies were neglecting small and medium-sized export businesses, which represented a significant portion of U.S. exporters (97%). As a result of our commitment to serving this underserved market, EXIM Summit rapidly rose to become the #1 selling export documentation software in America—a title we still hold today.

Since introducing the first version of EXIM Summit, we have continuously worked to enhance the software’s capabilities.
